The Gray Council is a set of C++ classes that implement the Apple Grayscale Appearance. This gives your application Apple's recommended System 7 grayscale user interface look that is consistent with the Copland MacOS 8 default appearance. The Gray Council PowerPlant classes can be adapted into existing panes by simply changing the pane's class ID. AGA controls included are: push buttons, check boxes, radio buttons, icon buttons, scroll bars, sliders, popup menus, little arrows, disclosure triangles, progress indicators, and group boxes.
The Gray Council does a great job of implementing the Apple Grayscale Appearance, including sliders, group boxes, little arrows, and more. If you use PowerPlant or MacApp, the Gray Council is a must-have. Adding Zig's Greyscale Windows to the Gray Council completes the Copland-esque appearance.
I'll be using Trygve Isaacson's Gray Council in my own applications.
The Gray Council 1.2 implements the July 1996 edition of the Apple Grayscale Appearance. It reflects July 1996 changes to disabled appearances, and the changed bevel buttons (previously called icon buttons).
